It is funny how hard it is for me to write a short “About Me” page. The issue isn’t that I could go on and on about myself (which I probably could, lol) but I it is hard to put “me” in a nutshell.
I am a mom first. It is what I have always wanted to be and I have so many goals of how I want to raise my kids. Ideally I want them to end up well-adjusted individuals that have lived their lives the way THEY want to and maybe just end up with enough money to support me for the rest of my life :). If I could make it perfect, we would be together for a long time, and at the end of the “active raising” time, we will be friends and they will come over for dinner every Sunday!
My kids are very charismatic. They are the best of friends but never the worst of enemies because they can’t imagine hurting one another that much (well, other than tonight when a flying airplane trick turned into stitches in my daughter’s head). Both of them teach me something pretty much daily. And the things they teach me make me a better person.
My son, almost six, is a fun and silly little guy that loves to make people laugh. He is also three times exceptional with being extremely gifted and talented, and he also has ADHD-on the attention deficit side. He is extremely loyal to those he loves and is a genuinely kind boy.
My daughter, now four, has the biggest heart of anyone I know. She also has the sweetest sass and a smile that will melt the coldest of ice. Her eyes twinkle, her spirit gives and gives, and she is a truly genuine soul.
I have a great husband, too! We got married in 2005, and first and foremost we are best friends. And he is a great dad. We also have four furry family members. Two old cats, Sadie and Sable and two young dogs; Max (Husky) and Roxie (chi-minpin).
The second biggest part of me is a writer. I live and feel things by writing them. I feel things that happen in the world deeply and the easiest way to get through it is to write.
I started this blog because I began to notice that my life didn’t really follow a pattern, and once I expected it to, the pattern changed. And now I am really becoming an source of advice for something, gifted and talented as well as ADHD. So I changed my blog to change my life. To live in the moments and share those moments with others.
I look forward to taking my journey with you 🙂
